Figure 1. The song of the Caatinga Antwren is a soft-sounding roll, smoothly increasing and then decreasing in amplitude. See Whitney et al. 2000 and Zimmer and Isler 2003. This Antwren looks very similar to the Black-capped Antwren, but the two species can quite easily be distinguished by their vocalizations.
